VW Passat B3 History

Volkswagen Passat B3 was designed on a completely new platform with a transverse engine, it had versions with sedan and station wagon.

 

The car, which was produced only in Germany, was equipped with gasoline engines from 1.6 to 2.0 liters (72–136 hp.), and the most powerful was the variant with the new VR6 2.8 engine, which developed 174 hp.

 

There were three diesel engines: the atmospheric 1.9, the turbocharged 1.6 and 1.9.
