Acura Legend History

Some ACURA LEGEND Wiring Diagrams, Fuses & Relay are above the page.

In 1985, Honda mass-produced the Legend sedan, which became the brand's first model in the business class. Unlike competitors (for example, Toyota Crown or Nissan Gloria), the Legend had front-wheel drive rather than rear-wheel drive.

The Japanese were engaged in the development of the car together with the British company Austin Rover Group, the result of work from the European side was the Rover 800 sedan. Later, the model range was replenished with a version with a coupe body.

In the Japanese market, Honda Legend was offered with 2.0 and 2.5 liter V6 engines (145 and 165 hp, respectively). In 1988, instead of a 2.5-liter unit, a 2.7-liter (180 hp) began to be put on the car, and in 1989 a version appeared with a V6 2.0 turbo engine developing 190 hp.

In Europe, Honda Legend has been sold since 1987 with only a 2.5-liter engine, these were cars assembled at a factory in the UK. In the US market, the model was known under the name Acura Legend.
