In 2002, the production of Daewoo Lacetti sedans began in Korea, and later the lineup was enriched with a five-door hatchback and station wagon.

Initially, they were sold on the European market under the Korean brand, but in 2004, the cars for Europe “turned” into Chevrolet Nubira and Chevrolet Lacetti (later only the name “Lacetti” remained). In different countries, this model has many names: Buick Excelle in China, Holden Viva in Australia, Chevrolet Optra in Canada and Asia, Suzuki Reno and Suzuki Forenza in the USA.
