Toyota Avensis History

Some TOYOTA AVENSIS Electric Wiring Diagrams are above the page.

Toyota Avensis replaced Carina in 1997. The production of first-generation cars continued until 2003.

Avensis had versions with sedan, hatchback and station wagon bodies (which in the Japanese market was a separate Caldina model). For the car, there were three gasoline engines 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0, as well as a two-liter turbodiesel.

The second-generation Toyota Avensis (2003-2008), as before, was produced with the same body types at a factory in the UK, from where cars were delivered, including to the Japanese market.

Avensis sedans and station wagons were sold with 1.8 liter (129 hp), 2.0 liter (147 hp) and 2.4 liter 163 hp. In Europe, in addition, there were versions with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine and with diesel engines of 2 and 2.2 liters. Japanese buyers were offered cars with gasoline engines 2.0 or 2.4, including all-wheel drive.
