Dodge Nitro History

Expressive crossover Dodge Nitro, created on the platform of the model Jeep Cherokee / Liberty, began to produce at a factory in Ohio in 2006. It was with this model that the Dodge brand returned to the European market after a long break.

On the Nitro, gasoline engines of a volume of 3.7 liters (205–210 hp) or 4.0 liters (255–260 hp) were installed. In the first case, a four-speed automatic transmission was offered as an option, while the more powerful version was only equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission. Especially for Europe, the Dodge Nitro was offered with a 2.8-liter VM Motori turbodiesel, developing 177 hp.
