The first generation Toyota Camry was introduced in Japan in 1982, and exports to the United States and Europe soon began.
The front-wheel drive model was produced with sedan and hatchback bodies and was equipped with 1.8 and 2.0 gasoline engines, as well as a two-liter turbodiesel. In the Japanese market, the car
