Toyota Supra History

The first Toyota Supra appeared in 1978. The machine was equipped with a V6 from 2.0 to 2.7 liters with a capacity of 111-118 hp. On sale the model was presented with a five-speed manual gearbox and a four-speed "automatic". The car was completed in 1981.

 

The "second" Toyota Supra with the A60 index went on sale in 1982. Engines of 2.0 and 2.8 liters capacity from 126 to 175 hp were installed on the model. The second generation Supra production ended in 1986.

 

The third-generation Toyota Supra was produced from 1986 to 1992. The machine was also equipped with in-line V6, but now it was new units with a volume of 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 liters, the atmospheric variants and turbocharged modifications were present in the engine lineup. In addition, a version with the most powerful 2.5 engine developing 280 hp was offered on the local market.
